There was obvious right and wrong in this case and out of loyalty or whatever, she tended to side with the wrong side. It's like she cannot even conceive of rebuking her teacher for his actions.

They got back together? Do they end up together, like officially? Coz I heard he ends up with Medusa and his childhood friend

He marries Medusa first and near the end he holds a large banquet to marry Medusa and Xun'Er

While the novel did not specify if he marries Yun Yun, Xiao Yan sends a message through Nalan Yanran to Yun Yun asking her to live with him at Wu Tan City, his original home city. The author leaves it to the reader's interpretation whether she is or not, I took it as they were together, since he also invites other women to live with him. In the sequel, Da Zhu Zai (another world and another main character) she is never mentioned by name, again it is left for the readers to interpret whether the "friends and family" of Xiao Yan is with him, only Medusa, Xun'Er, his daughter and son and Yao Lao is mentioned and plays a small role in the novel)

Personally I dont care about the sequel since Xiao Yan players a small part, and I consider it as an alternate universe and not a sequel (like Marvels alternate universes)

I honestly never took Xiao Yan as a having a harem character, even after all the spoiler comments I've read I still struggle, just seems so out of character, curious to see how this is going to be played out on donghua. I'm honestly sad about him and Yun Yun not ending up together

I mean he spent time with Little Fairy Doctor, and was pretty close to her, knowing his attachment to Xun'Er

Then we have Yun Yun who he loses his first kiss to during the special episodes, and kisses her during the last season

And while not shown in the donghua, in the novel Xiao Yan was actually from Earth who's soul transmigrated to Doupo continent, and still had all the memories from Earth, when he was 4-6 years old, he always sneaked into Xun'Er's room to use a "clumsy" method to help Xun'Er who at that time had a weak constitution by warming her meridians with dou qi (he was touching all over her body) and yes he IS A PERVERT who had the memories AND awareness of an adult (surprisingly Xun'Er fell in love with him cause of this, even though she knew his method wouldnt help her at all) let's not forget he peeked at his cousin Xiao Yu when she was bathing and had a "close" relationship with Xiao Mei

So given that he has feelings for Xun'Er since young, then with his relationship with Little Fairy Doctor then.... his romantic liaison with Yun Yun then we have Medusa, and even if you discount Medusa since it was kind of forced due to her being pregnant he still had.... encounters with multiple girls I really think you ought to revise your assessment of him (＾▽＾)
Well technically Yun Yun ends up being with him since she chooses to live with him, whether they are married or not, it is let to the reader's interpretation

In what way? That he died and reincarnated to this world? Or Xiao Yan eventually leaves this world and move to another one?

The first one was an idea the author used then he didnt follow through and was never mentioned after the beginning of the novel lol
The last bit, the author links up this novel and Wudong Qiankun and move to the world of Da Zai Zhu

Basically in the novel didn’t the author mention he was originally from our world reincarnated in this one.

Yes, that he was originally from our world and he has the memories of his past life, I dont know about him being gamer though lol, but what I do recall is that the author never refer anything about his time on Earth after that, so I guess he dropped the idea or he forgot about it unlike most isekai novels, they more or less have references to their time on Earth throughout the novel

So he did even have the memories 😂 the gamer bit was a joke on my part.
Probably for the best they dropped the isekai aspect.

We are currently at chapter 373 of the novel
Xiao Yan returns to stop Yun Yun's wedding to Gu He at chapter 704 (although his main priority is to kill Yun Shan and destroys the Yun Lan sect which occurs at chapter 722) after which Yun Yun returns the Sea Vest to him and leaves Jia Ma empire with Nalan Yanran to go to the Central Continent
Xiao Yan meets Nalan Yaran again in the Central Continent at chapter 996, but she refuses to tell him where Yun Yun is, since Yun Yun told her not to do so if she ever encounters him, but she tells him after he unconditionally helps her gain access a pool where it helps in cultivation, her feelings for him deepens as does her regret of dissolving their engagement
Nalan Yanran then arrives at the Falling Star Pavilion (Yao Lao's Pavilion, where Xiao Yan is the Junior Pavilion master) to inform her that Yun Yun is in trouble at chapter 1286, Xiao Yan then rushes to Flower Sect with Nalan Yanran and Qing Ling (the girl that possesses the special eyes that can controls snakepeople due to her being half snake/half human - seen in a previous season)
So technically yes after this special but in reality, it will be a looooooooooong time, looking at a number of years, 2-3 years if you calculate the rate we are going to see Yun Yun again after this side story

True Yun Yun is not evil, but what she does not know is that Yun Shan...most definitely is evil. And not just a little evil, but evil on a collossal scale. Yun Yun was too stupid and self-absorbed with her cultivation to notice all the secret evil her own sect was involved in. She always thought Yun Shan was good and the sect was good...she was sorely mistaken.

She made her choice though, so whatever romantic feelings they had for each other has now been severed smh. Her actions decided for her and gave Xiao Yan her answer, that though she had feelings for him, they weren't enough to override her duty/responsibilities as a sect master nor her respect for her old sect master/teacher. Though it was a hard decision for her mentally & emotionally, but her physical actions said all there was to say that Xiao Yan needed.

Xiao Yan taking that as an ultimate betrayal, since her people were wrong in the first place, showing him that her taking their side was painfully clear that she was just as corrupt and didn't care as much as he thought she did. And saving her master from death meant that it would be finalizing Xiao Yan's death instead, knowing after what they just witnessed (the explosive and damn near deadly fight between Xiao Yan/Lao vs Yun Shan), meant that someone had to be disposed. So either Xiao Yan had to be captured and executed or Yun Shan + Yun Leng lose their lives 🤷🏽‍♂️.

All of the elders of Yun Lan sect are blinded by many years of being in a powerful position
Prestige, reputation, strength and the history of Yun Lan Sect made them think they were invincible and to have a "trash" like Xiao Yan "trashing" them is a massive loss of face, so no matter what the cost they had to kill Xiao Yan even if Medusa is there, they are pretty much blinded by their arrogance, only when they are almost at the end of the breath will they beg for their lives
Hope it doesnt that another 2 years for Xiao Yan to come back to destroy Yun Lan sect the next arc, Jia Nan academy arc is very long, well a lot of things happen during his stay over there

Yes I do hope the Jia Nan academy arc is combined and aired as one big season, however many episodes it may take.

There's only 3 episodes left, more than likely it will be filler episodes and him meeting one of the Mu family before leaving Jia Ma empire or him arriving at Jia Nan Academy just in time to compete in the student rankings.

After this side story has finished, it should be another side story, a remake of sort of season 1 when Xiao Yan met Yao Lao then the next season will start

On another note, it seems Da Zhu Zai will be remade into 3D by the same studio as this one Da Zhu Zai is a sequel to Doupo Cangqiong, although Xiao Yan and some characters appears in it, it is a different world, different story and different main character

I dont see the point of Da Zhu Zai being made into 3D, a second season would be better. As for the last 3 episodes I have to agree with you in regard to it ending when Xiao Yan leaves Jia Ma.

Yeah, the 2D donghua is tastefully done, while not on par with say King's Avatar (then again that one is 3D/2D blended) at least it is done better than first season of Cinderella Chef, my guess is that perhaps the author liked what is going on with Dongpo Cangqiong and Martial Universe, since they are done by the same Studio (Magic Motion) and decided to put all his works under the same studio, the 2D was done by some other studio who did Wanmei Shijie

I havent seen Cinderella Chef so not sure if its good or not. I did however see an animated 2d version of tales of demons and gods. That was poorly animated even worse than some stuff from the 1990's.

I enjoyed it, it is rather short though, just finished it's second season, at least it is more closer to the novel, and less about the love, drama, misunderstanding of the live action, more about cooking!!

I could be wrong about Da Zhu Zai being a remake, but it doesnt have the header of second season, if you search 大主宰 3D youtube you should be able to see the promotion of it, but it doesnt say whether it is a first or second season.
